    Hi Thomas,
    I quite like this poem by Walter Savage Landor. It’s not a happy poem, but it’s brave and strong. I have other poems that I like as well- it’s too hard to find a favourite! When I find a poem that is a kid’s poem that I like, I will post it here too. Good questioning, by the way! I like the way you are asking questions on the blog, because we are learning to ask questions in class.

    I strove with none, for none was worth my strife.
    Nature I loved and, next to Nature, Art:
    I warm’d both hands before the fire of life;
    It sinks, and I am ready to depart.

    Walter Savage Landor

    PS: What is your favourite poem, Thomas?
